Sam Jones

Berlin Correspondent

Sam Jones is the FT’s acting Berlin correspondent, covering German foreign, defence and security policy. He also covers Austria and Switzerland. Sam joined the FT in 2007, and has worked in a variety of roles including several years as the newspaper’s international defence and security editor (during which he covered the rise of Isis and Russia’s 2014 invasion of Ukraine) and as a member of its investigations team. Sam has won several journalism awards in the US and UK, most recently for his work on the Wirecard scandal.
